Please Join Us!

New volunteers are paired with a "buddy" for their first Flower Shuttle session.  This experienced Flower Shuttle volunteer will show you the ropes, answer questions and give you a general overview of daily operations.

All volunteers are asked to bring their own clippers, scissors or other cutting device to use when flower arranging.

Please park in the lower parking lot of the church or across Ridge Road from the church in designated areas.  (Church parishioners & nursery school parents come and go and also need places to park.)

Volunteer Positions

Flower Pick Up - donated flowers are picked up from our donors on Mondays & Tuesdays and brought to the Raleigh Moravian Church on Tuesday mornings (Contact Cathy McDonnell at cmcdonnell@nc.rr.com )

Flower Prep - on Tuesday mornings the donated flowers are sorted & prepped, stems trimmed & spent blooms disgarded.

Vase Prep - vases are filled with water or oasis and prepped for arrangements (Contact Bob Farrell at cwfan2@aol.com)

Flower Arranging - small arrangements in bud vases and mugs are made from the flowers donated each week.

Load Out - completed flower arrangements are counted, grouped & labeled for delivery to area recipients and locations (Contact Carol Tillman at tillmancp@aol.com )

Delivery - groups of arrangements are delivered to specific locations (Contact Carol Tillman at tillmancp@aol.com )
